This site promotes music on Spotify. Its listening pages (the links that start with /go/) measure whether the ads that brought you here actually lead to listening. Here is exactly what that involves.
What is collected
When you visit a listening page and when you tap through to Spotify, we record: a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in a cookie on this site (kept up to 400 days, so a return visit can be recognised), your IP address and browser type, your country, and — if you arrived from an ad — the ad-click identifiers Meta attaches to the link. We never see your name, your email, or your Spotify account.
Who it is shared with
Tap-through events are sent to Meta (Facebook) through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, so we can tell which ads work and stop running the ones that do not. The visitor identifier is hashed before it is sent. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else.
How the page is used
Listening pages also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page is used: where you tap, how far you scroll, and how the page is laid out on your screen. It exists so we can see where the page loses people and fix it. There is nothing to type on these pages, so nothing you type is recorded, and it never sees your name, your Spotify account, or anything outside this site. Clarity sets its own cookie to tell one visit from the next; clearing this site's cookies removes it. Microsoft describes what it collects at privacy.microsoft.com.
The one-tap follow page
Pages starting with /follow/ offer a one-tap Spotify follow. That flow only does what it lists on the page, only after you approve it on Spotify's own consent screen, and never posts anything. We do not store your Spotify password or keep long-term access to your account.
Your choices
